Electrocardiogram Technician  

An EKG Technician, or Electrocardiogram Technician, is a healthcare professional responsible for performing electrocardiograms (EKGs) to monitor and assess patients' heart health. Their key duties include setting up and operating EKG machines, explaining the procedure to patients, and ensuring accurate and high-quality recordings of the heart's electrical activity. EKG Technicians also assist in interpreting results and collaborating with healthcare providers to diagnose and treat heart conditions. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.

Program Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED. International diplomas accepted but must be verified before start of program

  • Physically able to perform required duties

  • All applicants must be able to speak, read, and understand English

Program length: 2 weeks- 80 Hours

  • Full time morning and evening programs are held Monday- Friday

  • Weekend classes also available- 5 weekends total

Phlebotomy Technician 

A Phlebotomy Technician is a healthcare professional specializing in drawing blood samples from patients for laboratory testing. Their primary responsibilities include preparing patients for blood collection, using sterile techniques to obtain blood samples, and properly labeling and handling specimens to ensure accurate test results. Phlebotomy Technicians must also manage patient records, ensure safety and hygiene standards, and provide a comfortable experience for patients. Upon completion of our program, students will be prepared to take the Certified EKG Technician exam given by the National Healthcareer Association.

  • Full time morning: Monday to Friday for 2 weeks

  • Full time evening: Monday to Friday for 3 weeks
